The Savannah Cat Rescue is not affiliated with the SCCGB. I hope all of the members of the Savannah Cat Rescue can work together by putting our differences aside. After all it is for a good cause!

For the record we do not plan on becoming affiliated with that particular club and won't be recommending them to our customers. We are considering setting up another Savannah cat club for people that do not want to belong to that one, but it's a lot of work and effort - and I'm not sure that we have the time to dedicate to it. We would also need TICA registered volunteers to sit on the board. If there is any interest we will forge ahead with a European Savannah club - always assuming there isn't an English speaking one already.

Our very own 'catman' and his wife are sitting on the board, which is nice and will give it some balance.

Actually, the savannah rescue in the USA is a very active group and quick to act in any situation. I know them well and I show with some of them. Just recently there was a F1 savannah the owner had abandoned as his new wife was allergic. He ended up at the shelter for stalking captive rabbits (duhh). He was very aggitated and almost euthanized as "untame." Rescue had to do a huge song and dance to claim him. He is now (a few months later) with a new owner and doing great. Just current, was the breeder dump in New Mexico. SV rescue moved to help pay for all the health care and spays for the cats that are being fostered and rehabilitated. So say that SV rescue here is inactive is completely wrong.
