Dear experts and breeders of Savannah F1, I’ve got the following to
question.

We crossed Serval and the British Cat. What we got was nice grey tubby
kittens. Can these kittens be considered as Savannahs or is there a
definite list of domestic cats that can be crossed with Serval to get a
Savannah? Has anyone got pictures of such “Serval + British Cat”
combination?

Can you give us comprehensive guidelines on feeding Savannahs F1? Is the
Super Premium diet for domestic cats actually enough for them? Or is raw
meat enriched with vitamins still better? Is it necessary to provide
vitamins with the diet for Savannahs F1?

Thank you!

That looks like a beautiful silver F1 savannah to me! Was this just an experiment? I don't see this as a grey tubby anything! That kitten will clear up as she/he grows and have stunning contrast. Yes, this kitten should have a diet that includes raw meat and not just dry kibble alone. If this is an experiment- do it again!

BTW- what is a British cat? Is that the same as a British shorthair? That is a very weird choice in a pairing with a serval if so? Usually F1 breeders choose something sort of complimentary- bengal or at least a spotted domestic or better, a savannah.
